Obtention
The process of Obtain, Certify, and Verify shall be conducted in strict adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Any document or transaction not subjected to this procedure shall be deemed irregular and without legal effect. Parties are hereby cautioned that failure to comply may result in liability, penalties, or other enforcement actions as provided under the governing statutes.
Certification
Relevant authorities issue certificates such as the Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Ownership, ICGLR Regional Certificate, Non-Criminality Certificate, and Export Permit. These documents serve to establish the source, legality, and compliance of the minerals with both national and international regulations. Without proper certification, no mineral consignment shall be recognized, cleared, or permitted for export.
Verification
The required documents must be obtained, including but not limited to the Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Ownership, ICGLR Regional Certificate, Non-Criminality Certificate, and Export Permit.
These documents are then certified by the designated authorities to confirm their authenticity and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
About us
Trusted Mineral Certification and Verification in East Africa
We are an East African regulatory body dedicated to the certification and verification of mineral consignments. Our mandate is to ensure that all minerals are legally sourced, properly documented, and compliant with regional and international standards. We issue and verify certificates including the Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Ownership, ICGLR Regional Certificate, Non-Criminality Certificate, and Export Permits. Our operations cover member countries of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as other mineral-producing regions in East Africa. By providing a trusted certification and verification framework, we promote transparency, legality, and responsible trade in the mineral sector.

ICGLR CERTIFICATE
The ICGLR (International Conference on the Great Lakes Region) Regional Certificate is a mandatory document for the trade and export of minerals sourced from member states. It serves to confirm that the minerals are legally mined, conflict-free, and in compliance with regional and international standards. The certificate is issued following strict verification of the mineral’s origin, ownership, and legality, and is recognized by customs and regulatory authorities across ICGLR member countries, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Possession of a valid ICGLR certificate is essential to ensure lawful export and to promote responsible and transparent mineral trade.
UN COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE
The UN Simplified Compliance Certificate is an internationally recognized document that verifies the legality, authenticity, and regulatory compliance of mineral consignments. It is designed to streamline export and trade procedures by confirming that the minerals meet United Nations standards and are free from illegal or conflict-related activities. This certificate is obtained after thorough assessment and certification by the relevant authorities, ensuring that all required documentation, including ownership, origin, and export permits, is accurate and valid. Possession of a UN Simplified Compliance Certificate facilitates lawful international trade and enhances transparency, accountability, and confidence among buyers, exporters, and regulatory bodies.
CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN , OWNERSHIP AND EXPORT PERMIT
For the lawful trade and export of gold, it is mandatory to obtain the appropriate certificates and permits. The Certificate of Origin establishes the source of the gold and confirms that it was mined in compliance with national and international regulations. The Certificate of Ownership verifies the legal possession and rights of the holder over the gold, ensuring that it is not subject to dispute or illicit acquisition. Additionally, an Export Permit is required to authorize the movement of gold across borders, confirming that all legal, regulatory, and tax obligations have been met. Together, these documents provide a complete legal framework that safeguards the legitimacy, transparency, and traceability of gold consignments.
